Webster Co. Public Health reports 90 more COVID cases since Tuesday

Webster County Public Health’s cumulative COVID-19 case count was at 1,574 as of Friday. That represented an increase of 90 cases since Tuesday’s report.

Of the total cases, 1,466 individuals have met the CDC’s requirements for public health release and are considered recovered.

One hundred eight cases remain open, have been contact traced, and are currently being monitored by Webster County Public Health Department.

The age breakdown for cumulative cases in Webster County are as follows: 94 children (0-17), 717 adults (18-40), 488 middle-aged adults (41-60), 226 older adults (61-80), and 49 elderly (81+).

Webster County Public Health continues to strongly encourage residents to wear a mask and to only attend events or gatherings if social distancing and the wearing of masks is enforced.

Additionally, Webster County Public Health asks residents to stay at home if they aren’t feeling well or are ill. Contact your primary care provider if you believe you have COVID-19 symptoms and would like to be tested.
