I also work as a fire science instructor for Iowa Central Community College.

What is the most memorable incident you’ve responded to?

Graham Tire fire. (Editor’s note: The Graham Tire warehouse at 1520 Central Ave. was destroyed by fire on Jan. 18, 2016.)

What’s the best part of your day?

Responding to emergencies to help people in their time of need.

What gives you the most satisfaction in your job?

The opportunity to make a positive impact in my community everyday I come to work.

The physical and mental stress we are exposed to.
