67 more COVID-19 cases

Webster County Public Health announced another 67 COVID-19 cases since Friday, bringing Webster County’s total caseload to 1,641.

The increase comes after similarly high case increases announced by WCPH — a trend of steady levels of new cases week after week. In the last month, the total caseload has increased over 40%. On Sept. 15, the total was 1,169.

Of the cases, 1,531 are classified as recovered and have been released from public health isolation. A total of 110 cases remain open with WCPH.

The cases fall into the following age categories:

• Children (age 0-17): 102

• Adults (age 18-40): 739

• Middle-aged adults (41-60): 509

• Older adults (age 61-80): 235

• Elderly adults (age 81+): 56

Webster County Health Department continues to strongly encourage residents to wear a mask when outside the home and around others with unknown exposure risks.
