Webster Co. sees 37 new COVID-19 cases since Monday
Webster County Public Health reported 37 new cases of COVID-19 between Monday and Friday, bringing the county’s total caseload to 1,206.
In the last month, the total number of cases has increased 33%. On Aug. 19, the county had 912 cases.
Of the cases, 61 remain active. No new cases have surfaced at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility, where slightly less than one-third of the county’s cases were diagnosed during an outbreak over the summer.
Cases fall into the following age categories:
• Children (age 0-17): 62.
• Adults (age 18-40): 573.
• Middle-aged adults (age 41-60): 372.
• Older adults (age 61-80): 172.
• Elderly adults (age 81+): 27.
Webster County Public Health continues to ask residents to wear a mask around others.
