Sgt. Steve Hanson, of the Fort Dodge Police Department, directs traffic Tuesday along busy First Avenue South. The driver of a black Ford Escape reportedly slammed into the back of another SUV as that driver was leaving the Walmart parking lot. According to police, the driver said she experienced a medical episode before crashing into the other vehicle. Traffic was slowed for several minutes. No one was transported to the hospital. No citations were issued. The Fort Dodge Fire Department was also on scene.
