3 from FD die in Missouri crash

All were age 20 and younger

BENTON COUNTY, Mo. — Three people from Fort Dodge, aged 20 and younger, have died in a single-vehicle crash out of state, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A 2002 Mercury was driven by Richard Davis, 20, of Fort Dodge.

Davis was traveling southbound on Missouri Highway 7, south of Route-M.

The driver failed to negotiate the curve, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree, according to the Highway Patrol.

Matayah McLoughlin, 18, and a 14-year-old juvenile male were passengers in the vehicle.

Davis, McLoughlin and the juvenile male were each pronounced dead on scene.

The bodies were transported to the Boone County medical examiner’s office by the Benton County coroner.
