10 Under 40: Ben Crimmins
Vice president of operations, White transfer & storage

What’s the best part of your work?
The best part of my job is that I get to work with my dad (Denny) and my brother (Max) daily. We’re all fortunate to have the opportunity to carry on the legacy of a second/third generation family business. With that comes a great deal of pride, but also a lot of responsibility and stress. I feel as though my grandpa Leo would be proud of the way we’ve represented him thus far.
Life is full of defining moments that helped shape who you are today. What’s your defining moment?
There is no question that my defining moment is marrying my wife Jenn. She makes me a better person in every facet of my life, and for that I am grateful.
What’s the best advice you ever received?
I don’t know if this would classify as “advice,” but two qualities that I’m grateful my parents passed down to myself and my siblings are the importance of waking up early in the morning and the importance of being fiscally responsible.
What’s your advice to other young professionals?
Be positive! There are two types of people in this world, those who produce energy and those who consume energy. Those that lift your mood whenever you cross paths, and those that simply talking to them is exhausting. Companies are looking to hire/promote energy producers.
Who are your heroes?
Anyone who knows me well knows that my dad is my hero. A few qualities I admire about him are that his family is the most important thing in his life, he is a risk taker and he is the most selfless person I’ve ever met.
What would you like to share about your family and/or hobbies?
The ultimate honor of my life is that God has blessed Jenn and I with the opportunity to raise four daughters. Currently my hobbies include coaching three soccer teams, two basketball teams and a traveling softball team. I also like to hunt and fish when time allows.
