Webster County Treasurer’s Office announces extensions

The Webster County Treasurer’s Office confirmed that property taxes have been temporarily suspended until the governor’s proclamation ends on April 16.

Regarding Iowa Department of Transportation issued extensions, vehicles purchased after Feb. 17, 2020, are not required to be titled within the 30 day time period. This will remain in effect until the declared disaster is officially deemed over.

Vehicle registration (yearly sticker) penalties incurred on or after March 1, 2020, will be waived until further notice.

Extensions set by the DOT and the Gov. Reynolds’ proclamation are subject to change at any time.

The Webster County Courthouse remains closed to the public at this time. The treasurer and staff are working in the office and available to answer questions.

Questions regarding the DOT extensions and Gov. Reynolds’ proclamation will be answered with the most current information available.
