Humboldt woman sentenced for meth conviction

She distributed at least three pounds

HUMBOLDT — A Humboldt woman has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute at least three pounds of methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa.

Wendy Jordison, 57, formerly from Fort Dodge, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute meth and one count of possession with intent to distribute meth in June. She had previous convictions for serious felony drug offenses in Iowa and has previously served time in prison.

At the plea hearing, Jordison admitted involvement in a conspiracy that distributed at least three pounds of meth between June 2018 and January 2019. On four occasions between December 2018 and January 2019, she distributed 111 grams of pure meth to people cooperating with law enforcement. In January 2019, law enforcement recovered another 205 grams of pure meth through a search warrant of her home. There are 453 grams in a pound.

Jordison was sentenced in Sioux City in January by U.S. District Court Chief Judge Leonard Strand. Following her 15-year sentence, she will be required to serve 10 years of supervised release.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant. U.S Attorney Shawn Wehde and investigated by the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Dodge Police Department, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Humboldt Police Department and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
