Webster Co. supervisors OK liquor license, reimbursement claim

Webster County Supervisors approved a liquor license, a transfer to the Public Health fund and the construction and maintenance agreement for a county project on Tuesday.

Supervisors approved a Class C liquor license for Deer Creek Golf Club.

A transfer of $14,282 from the county’s General Basic to Public Health fund was authorized for reimbursement of claims due to water damages in the Bank Building.

“This is from the skylight project,” Chairman Mark Campbell explained. “We had water issues over there, so this is to give the Public Health fund the amount they expended.”

Supervisors also approved a construction agreement for a project replacing a posted bridge in the southeast corner of the county with a reinforced concrete box culvert, according to County Engineer Jamie Johll.

“This one kind of sticks out of our right of way,” Johll said.

The agreement will allow the county to access the area for future maintenance.
