Fort Dodge firefighters look over the wreckage of a car that was struck by a semitrailer traveling south Monday on U.S. Highway 169 at Avenue O in Fort Dodge. The driver of the eastbound car escaped any injuries. According to Fort Dodge Police Sgt. Paul Samuelson, a witness told police that the semi had traveled through a red light at the intersection before hitting the car. Fort Dodge Police, Webster County Sheriff’s Department and the Fort Dodge Fire Department responded to the accident.
