Humboldt man arrested on meth charges

HUMBOLDT — A Humboldt man was arrested Monday and charged with dealing methamphetamine, according to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies reported that Michael Wurn, 31, of 105 Fifth St. N., was charged with possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine; failure to affix a drug tax stamp; and keeping a house where controlled substances are possessed, used or sold.

He is being held in the Humboldt County Jail on $32,000 cash bond.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Wurn was arrested at his home as a result of a four-month investigation that led to an Oct. 10 search of his house.

The investigation is continuing, and deputies expect more arrests in the future.

The Humboldt Police Department, United States Postal Inspection Service and the Humboldt County Attorney’s Office were also involved in the investigation.
