Two injured in crash south of Badger Monday

A Chrysler minivan crashed into the rear-end of a Ford pickup truck on Paragon Avenue just south of Badger on Monday afternoon. The front end of the van was crushed in and the truck went off the road into the ditch. Both drivers were taken to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

BADGER — Two people were injured in a crash just south of Badger on Monday afternoon.

A Chrysler minivan was traveling north on Paragon Avenue around 1 p.m. when it struck a Ford pickup truck that was also traveling north on Paragon Avenue.

“The van hit the rear end of the truck and sent the truck off road,” said Webster County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Patrick Gerhardt.

The truck came to a stop about 50 yards off the roadway, near the Badger Water Treatment Facility.

Both drivers, who have not been named by authorities, were transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries, the deputy said.

A Ford pickup truck landed about 50 yards from the road following a crash on Paragon Avenue just south of Badger on Monday afternoon.

There were no passengers in either vehicle. A small dog that was in the Ford pickup truck was unharmed.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges were filed as of Monday afternoon, Gerhardt said.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Badger Fire and Rescue and Fort Dodge Fire and Rescue.
