Supervisors approve jail staff changes

The Webster County Board of Supervisors took action Tuesday on multiple staffing changes that will impact the operations of the jail.

Supervisors accepted the resignation of Sgt. Josh Pyle, a corrections officer. His resignation becomes effective Dec. 1.

In a separate motion, the county accepted the hiring of Pyle as a clerk in the county assessor’s office.

Pyle was hired for that position at a rate of $20.49 per hour. That hire is effective Dec. 2.

Meanwhile, supervisors approved a status change for Renee Ryan, from corrections officer to sergeant, to fill Pyle’s vacancy. The board approved a raise in her rate of pay from $20.49 to $21.24.

Supervisors accepted another status change.

Madeline Richardson is moving from a part-time to full-time corrections officer.

In other business, Bob Stanberg was hired as a class B equipment operator, effective today, in the Engineer/Roads Department. Stanberg will be paid at an hourly rate of $22.
