Name: Sarah Schipper

What grade/subject do you teach at St. Edmond?

I teach eighth grade math, Algebra 2, College Prep math, and Pre-Calculus.

What is your favorite part of the school day?

My favorite part is greeting students between classes. It gives me a chance to build relationships with my students and see how they interact with each other outside of the classroom.

What are you working hardest on right now?

I am working hard on making sure I meet the needs of all my students.

What are you most proud of as a teacher?

I am most proud of my students and their hard work. It is great when a student that is struggling with a new concept has a moment of realization where everything starts to make sense. They feel accomplished, confident, and are more likely to help their classmates.

What makes you happiest as a teacher?

Seeing the students be successful is what makes me happiest as a teacher.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?

I love watching the Cubs, cheering on the Gaels, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends.

What do you wish your students/families knew about you?

I hope that my students and families know that I want them to be successful and will do everything I can to help them reach their goals.

What does SEe US Grow mean to you?

At St. Edmond students and staff have the opportunity to grow together in character, faith and academics.
