Why did you choose to attend Iowa Central?

I chose to attend Iowa Central because of the convenience of it being where I live, they have great programs, and I liked the idea of being able to transfer!

What classes are you enrolled in this semester?

inancial & Managerial Accounting, Microeconomics and Spanish.

Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? If so, what?

I am member of Phi Theta Kappa through ICCC. My family and I are involved in activities through our Church, Holy Trinity Parish. I work full-time on top of being a full-time student. My husband and I are proud supporters of Pheasant’s Forever.

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class this semester is Accounting because I really like the instructor, Niki! I also enjoy working with numbers. My overall favorite class was a winter interim Public Speaking class. I took a lot from that class and the instructor was really outgoing and helpful!

What is your favorite movie?

My all-time favorite movie is Bridesmaids. I have seen that movie more times than I can count and it still makes me laugh.

What advice would you give a senior in high school?

Never stop trying, never stop believing, and never give up. If now is not the time, it is never too late to chase your dreams.

What has been your favorite moment at Iowa Central so far?

I don’t have so much a favorite “moment” but my favorite part about attending Iowa Central so far has been being able to meet so many great people, students and instructors. This has been such an amazing learning and growing experience for me that I will forever be grateful for.

Future plans?

I will eventually transfer to earn a Bachelors Degree and study Human Resources or Business Management but until then I will graduate ICCC and continue working and spending time and making memories with the most important people in my life, my family and friends.
