1. Who do you look up to, and who are your heroes or role models?
I look up to John Elway and Peyton Manning because when I grow up I want to be a star quarterback and play in the NFL. Before I do that I can’t wait to play for the Dodgers. Another person I look up to would be Dayson Clayton. He is good on the football field and when he’s not playing sports he is just a nice guy.
2. What inspires you to do the things you do that go above and beyond classwork?
My mom and dad inspire me. I was raised to be a good person and to follow the rules. My parents also taught me that if I want something I have to earn it and I have to prove that I deserve it.
3. How do you see your leadership taking you into the future?
I think leadership will help me achieve my goals and help me be successful in life. It will also help me be a good person. I’d like to be someone others can look up to in the future and I think being a good leader can help me do that.
4. What does leadership mean to you?
I would say that leadership means leading by example and following the rules. It is also knowing how to talk to people and how to get along with people. Most importantly, leadership means being nice to others.
5. What are you working hardest on?
I am working on getting better every day. If that means improving on sports or improving on a subject in school or even just being a better person, I am always trying to do my best.
“Nolan is a role model to other students by being respectful, kind, safe, and responsible. Nolan shows
leadership by always trying his best and encourages others to do the same. Not only does he follow the golden rule, but he stands up for others and what he believes is right.”
