Residents of a small area in northern Fort Dodge are being advised to boil their water before drinking it because of a water main break.

This boil advisory is for these locations:

* North Seventh Street north of Loomis Park

* Miller Drive

* 28th Avenue North near North Seventh Street

Water should be allowed to boil for at least one minute.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth and preparing food.

An announcement will be made when the boil advisory is lifted.
