WEBSTER CITY — The Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will present the movie “Sherlock Gnomes” from 10:30 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the library.

EMMETSBURG — The annual Five Island FIT Trail fundraiser is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. SUNDAY at Nolan Rouse Park, Emmetsburg. A freewill offering will be accepted.

FARNHAMVILLE — Old Settlers Day begins at 8 a.m. SATURDAY in Farnhamville. There will be a 5K/walk/run, softball tournament, parade at 10:30 a.m., car show, kiddie pedal pull, face painting, noon meal in City Park, reunions, memorabilia tent, bingo, pie baking contest, concessions, bouncy house, cake walk, basketball, volleyball, vendors in the park and ice cream social.

MOORLAND — Moorland Fire Department annual pancake breakfast is 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Moorland Community Center. Tickets are $5 for all you can eat and may be purchased at the door. Takeouts will be available. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to purchase new firefighting and rescue/EMS equipment.

HUMBOLDT — Make-A-Wish Iowa Birdies for Wishes is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. TODAY at Deer Creek Golf Course, 2045 130th St., Humboldt. Cost is $50 per person. Contact Bridget Trautz at 408-0400 to register.

POCAHONTAS — Dennis Naughton will perform his Denny and Benny ventriloquist act at 2 p.m. SATURDAY at the Rialto Theater, Pocahontas. A freewill donation will be accepted with proceeds to the Sts. Peter and Paul Historic Corporation for upkeep of the church.

FORT DODGE — Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY in the northwest corner of the Crossroads Mall parking lot.

FORT DODGE — Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave., is holding Vineyard Vibrations from 6 to 8 p.m. TODAY. Free live music will be provided by Rowan McCartney and Friends. Food will be available for purchase.

FORT DODGE — Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave., is holding Sunday Vineyard Vibrations from 3 to 5 p.m. SUNDAY. Free live music will be provided by Society of Broken Souls. Food will be available for purchase. The event will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Bring your lawn chair.

FORT DODGE — Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S., is holding a Life Drawing class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. TODAY. The class is for participants 18 years and older. Class size is limited to 10. Bring your own materials and draw from the human form in any of its various shapes and postures, from observation of a live model, using any drawing media. Cost is $10 to $20 depending on model.

FORT DODGE — Hillbilly Sale and Flea Market is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. SUNDAY at the Webster County Fairgrounds, 22770 Old Highway 169 S. Gate admission is $2 per person 12 and over. 4-H fundraiser breakfast and lunch each day.

FORT DODGE — The Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. TODAY and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 1018 First Ave. N. The sale will be held every weekend in August. Proceeds go to the charities of the organization and to the building maintenance fund.

FORT DODGE — Clint Pringle Memorial Figure 8 Races and Kids Night are 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the Webster County Fairgrounds, 22770 Old Hwy. 169. Grandstand admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 3-12. Pit fees are $30 for car and driver or $20 for a pit pass, must be 16 or older to be in the pits. No food or drink is allowed in the gate.

FORT DODGE — Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St., is holding a steak fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the church. Tickets are $15 for a ribeye or $7 for a hamburger. Contact the church office at 576-4106 for tickets.

FORT DODGE — Blanden Memorial Art Museum is holding Plein Air Pastels at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, 1415 Nelson Ave., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY. The class is for participants 16 years and older and class size is limited to 10. Meet at Kennedy Park in the first parking lot off to the right before the boat ramp. Participants may bring their own supplies or use pastels and paper provided by the Blanden and bring a traveling easel, drawing board, wet wipes or rags, and comfort items like a chair, sunscreen, bug spray, hat or umbrella for shade. Cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

FORT DODGE — Aglow Gathering is 10 a.m. SATURDAY at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Terri Krontz of Sioux City will deliver the message “Joy Unspeakable.” Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call Kelly at 570-2806.

FORT DODGE — Hawkeye Community Theatre, 521 N. 12th St., presents “The Movie Game” at 7 p.m. TODAY and 2 and 7 p.m. SATURDAY. Tickets are $10 per person.
