The first day for Fort Dodge Community School District Board of Education candidate nominations will be Aug. 26, the board announced during its meeting Monday night.

Four seats on the board are up for election this year. The seats are currently held by Matt Wagner, Steve Springer, Bill Kent and Angie Tracy. Each seat is a four-year term.

Wagner is the board vice president.

“Those who wish to file nomination papers can submit those to the board secretary at the central office, and the deadline for that is Sept. 19,” said Dr. Jesse Ulrich, superintendent.

The school board elections will be held on Nov. 5, alongside local city and county elections. The last day candidates may withdraw from the election is Sept. 24.

Election packets may be picked up at the Central Administration Building, 104 S. 17th St.
