What’s closed, open for RocknRail
The route for today’s RocknRail race will take bicyclists around downtown Fort Dodge, from Central Avenue to Eighth Street, then to First Avenue North, Fourth Street, then back on Central Avenue, eventually ending between Sixth and Seventh streets.
The following roads will be closed from about noon to 8 p.m. today:
• First Avenue North from Third Street to Eighth Street.
• Central Avenue from Third Street to Eighth Street.
About 125 bicyclists are expected to compete.
Registration for today’s race is from 11 to noon at the corner of Sixth Street and Central Avenue. The race begins at 1 p.m.
Participants, spectators, and volunteers will receive free sunscreen.
