Fort Dodge Fire Department Paramedic Craig Johnson, right, looks inside a vehicle that was damaged in a two-vehicle accident over the noon hour Tuesday at the intersection of First Avenue South and South 18th Street. According to Fort Dodge Police Sgt. Jody Chansler, a Ford Focus was westbound on First Avenue South when it was struck by a Pontiac, which was traveling northbound on South 18th Street. The driver of the Focus, who was not identified by Chansler, was transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. Nobody has been cited at this time, but Chansler said the incident is still under investigation.
