Mackenzie Knigge has been sentenced to a maximum 40-year prison sentence after admitting to being present when Jessica Gomez was put into a chokehold.

Knigge pleaded guilty last month to attempted murder, aiding and abetting second-degree robbery and abuse of a human corpse.

During her sentencing Monday, three victim impact statements were read and Knigge herself made a statement to the court.
