Webster County Sheriff’s Sgt. Derek Christie takes a picture of a 2007 Mustang that was involved in a crash Wednesday afternoon on 22nd Avenue South west of Gypsum Hollow Road. According to Webster County Sheriff’s Deputy Brett Knippel, the Mustang, being driven east by Thomas Neil Hendrickson, Sr., 71, of Lehigh, collided with a pickup and trailer being driven west by Danny L. Croft, 48, of Fort Dodge. Knippel said that Hendrickson appeared to have become distracted by something along the road and then crossed over the center line, striking the truck, which was attempting to avoid the collision. Hendrickson suffered minor cuts but refused medical treatment at the scene. Knippel said no citations were immediately issued.
