Bicyclist hurt in downtown accident

Fort Dodge firefighter-paramedics
and police officers tend to Michael Price after the bicycle he was on was struck by a car at Central Avenue and 13th Street Monday afternoon. Price was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and
released later Monday afternoon, according to police Sgt. Paul Samuelson. The collision happened at 1:25 p.m. Samuelson said Price, of Fort Dodge, was heading north on 13th Street and was stopped at the intersection with Central Avenue when his
bicycle was hit head-on by a 2018 Nissan Altima
operated by Darcey Myers, of Fort Dodge.
Samuelson said Myers was headed west on
Central Avenue and turned south onto 13th Street.
