Kenneth Hayes, principal of Fort Dodge Senior High, has announced that he is resigning effective at the end of the school year.

He has accepted a position in the educational leadership program at the University of Northern Iowa, where he will coordinate and teach in the principal prep program.

Hayes has been principal for three years.
