The Fort Dodge Community School District board approved its continued participation in the Instructional Support Levy at its meeting Monday night.

The board approved the levy for five years.

According to information on the Iowa Department of Education website, school districts may establish an Instructional Support Program to provide additional funding in the General Fund.

The ISL program can be funded by all property tax or a combination of property tax and income surtax.

The total program is not to exceed 10 percent of the district’s regular program district cost.

In other business, the board renewed contracts with STARS and MIDAS Council of Governments for DART Bus Transportation Services.
