On Saturday, Magistrate William Habhab made it even more difficult for them to get out of jail by setting hefty bond amounts for the additional charges they are now facing.

The bond amount for the new charges against Danielle Jones is $108,000. That includes $25,000 on the ongoing criminal conduct charge, $5,000 on the extortion charge, $2,000 on each of the 16 invasion of privacy charges and $2,000 on each of the 23 prostitution charges.

Habhab set preliminary hearings for both of them for July 13.

Few details on what led to the new charges were available Saturday. The Fort Dodge Police Department issued a statement saying the charges resulted from a weeks-long investigation into the activities of the Joneses prior to their May 21 arrests.

On the morning of May 21, officers with the Webster County Drug Task Force, Webster County Sheriff’s Department and the Fort Dodge Police Department converged on the Joneses’ residence to serve a search warrant related to an extended investigation into methamphetamine manufacturing. Because of the potential presence of hazardous materials there, Fort Dodge firefighters were also on the scene.

That day, Daniel Jones was charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine (more than 5 grams), possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine (less than 5 grams), possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to appear and violation of probation.
