Otho/Duncombe police chief saves pair from home

Jenny Randleman, the Otho/Duncombe police chief, may have saved the lives of two people early Sunday morning after a carbon monoxide alarm was triggered inside an Otho home, according to a press release from the Webster County Sheriff’s Department.

Randleman along with Otho volunteer firefighters were dispatched at 1:15 a.m. to 509 S. Highway St.

The man told dispatchers he was feeling ill and couldn’t get up.

Randleman reportedly arrived within 30 seconds of the call.

The man was able to get himself to the door where Randleman assisted him outside.

She went back inside the house and located the man’s teenage daughter.

Randleman assisted her to safety, the Webster County Sheriff’s Department reports.

Otho firefighters and medics treated the patients on scene. The man and his daughter were released on scene.
