FORT DODGE — The Karl L. King Municipal Band will open its 2018 indoor season at 3:30 p.m. SUNDAY in the Decker Auditorium on the Iowa Central Community College campus. This is the band’s annual tribute to former Conductor Karl L. King. There is no admission charge as the concerts are provided by the City of Fort Dodge.
FORT DODGE — Community Christian School’s kindergarten and 4-year-old preschool classes will present a Patriotic Program at 1:30 p.m. TODAY in the CCS Chapel, 2406 9 1/2 Ave. S. Students will sing patriotic songs and provide presentations on the first 10 presidents of the United States. They will recognize all the armed forces, veterans, state and local officials. The public is invited.
FORT DODGE — The Sonshine Singers’ Music Ministry “Glorious Day” is 7 p.m. TODAY and 2 p.m. SATURDAY at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St. There is no admission charge, a freewill offering will be accepted.
FORT DODGE — Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave., is holding Vineyard Vibrations from 6 to 8 p.m. TODAY. Free live music will be provided by Kris Karr Band. Food will be available for purchase.
FORT DODGE — Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S., is holding a life drawing class from 1 to 3 p.m. SATURDAY. The class is for participants 18 years and older. Class size is limited to 10. Bring your own materials and draw from the human form in any of its various shapes and postures, from observation of a live model, using any drawing media. Cost is $10 to $20 depending on model.
FORT DODGE — The Fort Museum skating pond will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY and noon to 4 p.m. SUNDAY. Ice skating is $3 per person and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Helmets are advised. Guests must provide their own skates. Call 573-4231 for more information.
FORT DODGE — Eagles Ballroom, 1018 First Ave. N., is holding a Benefit for Honor Flight 16 and Food Bank SATURDAY. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Beaver Creek Trio will play from 8 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Donation of a canned good for the food bank will take $5 off admission.
FORT DODGE — Knights of Columbus Lenten fish fry is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. TODAY at Corpus Christi Center, 405 N. Eighth St. Dinners are $9 for fried or baked fish and $10 for shrimp or fish and shrimp. The dinners include French fries or baked potato, cole slaw, ice cream and beverage.
FORT DODGE — Webster County Conservation is holding free crosscountry skiing and snowshoeing from 9 to 11 a.m. SATURDAY at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, 1415 Nelson Ave. There will be no charge for the rental of the equipment during this time. Following the event, those who wish to rent the skis for the rest of the weekend and use them elsewhere may do so for a $10 per set fee.
FORT DODGE — Indoor Winter Flea Market is rescheduled to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. SUNDAY at the Webster County Fairgrounds, 22770 Old Highway 169 S. Admission is free. 4-H fundraiser breakfast and lunch each day.
FORT DODGE — The Fort Museum and Frontier Village is hosting its first Women’s Weekend SATURDAY. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail party featuring a cash bar and appetizers. At 7 p.m., Stage Door Productions will perform “The Vagina Monologues.” Tickets may be purchased in advance for $12 by calling 573-4231. Tickets will be available at the door for $15.

WEBSTER CITY — The Kendall Young Library, Webster City, is holding a Family Game Night from 5:30 to 8 p.m. TODAY at the library. There will be life-size Candyland and Connect 4 games along with board and card games. Free taco bags and cookies will be provided. Children fifth grade and under must be accompanied by an adult or older family member.
EMMETSBURG — VFW, Emmetsburg, is holding a Lenten fish fry at 5 p.m. TODAY served by the Lion’s Club.
EMMETSBURG — The Wild Rose Casino and Resort presents “Trick Pony” in concert at 8 p.m. SATURDAY. Tickets are $30 and you must have a Wild Rose players card to attend.
WHITTEMORE — St. Michael’s Holy Name Society annual Lenten fish fry is 5 to 7 p.m. TODAY at St. Michael’s, Whittemore.
