Fort Dodge police say an unidentified woman robbed the Romantix store late Saturday.

The robbery happened around 11:58 p.m. Saturday, according to police. Officers arrived on scene at 12 a.m. Sunday.

Fort Dodge police said the woman entered the store and approached the counter. She opened her purse and demanded money.

According to police, a witness saw a gun in her purse.

The woman fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.

She is described as being in her mid 20s or early 30s, with tan skin, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and skinny. She also had brown hair and was wearing baggy clothes that were described as a white hoodie and khaki shorts.
