Fort Dodge man sentenced to prison on drug charges
A Fort Dodge man who pleaded guilty to two drug crimes was sentenced to prison Tuesday, according to Webster County Attorney Jennifer Benson.
Tennessee A. Ferry, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and possession of marijuana, second offense, according to an announcement from Benson’s office.
Webster County District Court Judge Thomas Bice sentenced Ferry to the maximum of 10 years in prison for the methamphetamine charge and the maximum of two years in prison for the marijuana charge.
The prison sentences will be served concurrently to each other because they are from the same incident, but will be served consecutively to Ferry’s pending parole revocation.
At the conclusion of the hearing, Ferry was placed in the custody of the Webster County Sheriff’s Department for transport to prison.
Ferry was arrested following a Feb. 11 search of his home at 1338 Third Ave. N.W. Lot 53. During that search, officers of the Webster County Drug Task Force found methamphetamine, marijuana and other evidence related to the use and delivery of narcotics, according to the statement from Benson’s office.
