Obria Medical Clinics of Iowa celebrated the grand opening of its Fort Dodge clinic on Sept. 24 with an evening filled with community, food, music, laughter, and plenty of splashes.
The celebration kicked off with a ribbon cutting led by the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance Ambassadors. Obria Medical Clinics extends a heartfelt thank you to the Alliance and its ambassadors for helping mark this exciting milestone and welcoming Obria to the Fort Dodge community.
One of the highlights of the evening was the dunk tank, where some brave community members volunteered to take a seat and risk getting soaked for the festivities. Taking their turn in the tank were Fort Dodge Fire Chief Matt Price, Iowa Central Community College Head Cheer Coach Amanda Murphy, Iowa Central Assistant Cheer Coach Jake Michaeils, local "Jack of All Trades" Andy Pepples, and last but certainly not least, Aleeyah Hoefer.
Katie with Mojo Productions was the event's DJ.
Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy "dirty sodas" served by Sips and Moore.
Attendees were served pork loin sandwiches or hot dogs along with chips, cookies, and water. The pork loin was generously donated by Prestage and prepared by the Rev. Russ Weller of Faith Community Church in Palmer.
Several volunteers provided cookies for the event. Additional meal donations and support were provided by Fareway, Hy-Vee, Party Productions, and Walmart.
The City of Fort Dodge assisted with the road closure and provided picnic tables and trash receptacles, while Advanced Waste Solutions donated portable restrooms for the event.
