Four years ago, Kody Linder decided to throw his hat into the lawn-care ring.

The Fort Dodge native knew there were plenty of competitors in the local market, so he had to quickly find a way to differentiate his new business — Diamond Pro Lawn Services – from the pack.

The 30-year-old Linder, a 2014 Fort Dodge Senior High School graduate, emphasized the importance of building quality relationships with his clientele from day one. He spent extra time on customer service, answering questions and personalizing the experience more with his customers.

“I think what sets us apart is our reliability, consistency and commitment to doing the job right,” Linder said. “As a locally-owned business with a team made up entirely of local (staff), we genuinely care about our community and take pride in every property we service.

“At the end of the day, it comes down to time, consistency and results. Our goal is to make lawn care simple, dependable and stress-free.”

Diamond Pro has branched out its services since its inception. The company now handles snow removal, and is available for maintenance of both commercial and residential properties big and small year-round. It also handles fertilization, weed control, aeration and seeding, as well as seasonal clean-ups, mulching, bed maintenance, snow removal and Christmas light installation.

In other words, all jobs — big and small.

“We’re much more than just a mowing company now,” Linder said. “We provide full-service lawn care and snow removal to keep properties looking their best year-round. We also offer complete commercial site maintenance.”

Linder and his crew take a great deal of pride in their work, and want Diamond Pro’s reputation to speak for itself.

“From a young age, I’ve been drawn to the process of lawn care — the planning, effort and attention to detail,” Linder said. “There’s a real sense of gratification in working hard and seeing it reflected in a well-maintained lawn.

“That love for the work inspired me to start my business in 2022, building something centered on quality and care first.”

Linder is also focused on keeping both the operation and organization as efficient as possible, while always improving the lines of communication for a better overall customer experience.

“We stay up to date with products that truly perform,” Linder said. “That allows us to provide maximum results for our customers, while saving them time and hassle.

“This winter, we made a big investment in the future of the business by implementing new software that will improve scheduling, dispatching and billing, while also making it easier for our customers to interact with us and request services.”

At the end of the day, Linder’s focus will always be on making sure Diamond Pro treats each job with care and respect.

“The best feedback is hearing, ‘my yard or property has never looked better,'” Linder said. “Seeing customers tell friends and neighbors about our work means so much to us. It’s rewarding to know others notice and are interested in what we do. That motivates us to keep delivering a quality product each and every time.”
