New look unveiled for Calhoun County Economic Development

ROCKWELL CITY — Calhoun County Economic Development Corp., a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering economic growth in Calhoun County, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity. The new logo, tagline, and website reflect the organization’s ongoing evolution and its mission to support business retention, start-ups, and sustainable growth within the county.
Key highlights of the rebrand:
• New Logo: The updated logo incorporates fresh colors and structural elements symbolizing Calhoun County’s deep agricultural roots while also reflecting a future-oriented approach through dynamic lines. This design symbolizes growth and the county’s forward momentum.
• New Tagline — “Grow Here”: The new tagline encapsulates Calhoun County’s commitment to fostering business retention, supporting start-ups, and enabling growth. This effort not only aims to increase employment opportunities and the tax base, but also enhances the quality of life and promotes the county as a desirable place to live and work.
• Website: The website redevelopment led to a fresh online presence at www.calhouncountyiowa.com. The site highlights the region’s rural quality of life, including its agriculture, health care, recreational opportunities, and strong service sectors. Engaging video content on the site reflects the county’s vibrant spirit.
• Brand Messaging: The updated messaging aligns with Calhoun County’s newly deployed strategic plan, which focuses on four key priorities:
1. Existing business support
2. Workforce preparedness
3. Community development and capacity building
4. Business attraction and recruitment
“This rebrand marks a pivotal moment for Calhoun County Economic Development,” said Keaton Hildreth, the chairman of the organization’s board. “Our new identity reflects our dedication to the farmers, business owners, and residents of Calhoun County, while also showcasing our forward-thinking vision for growth and prosperity.”
With the rebranding, CCEDC is also distributing its annual report for 2024 to stakeholders, which is available on the organization’s new website.
Theresa Hildreth, executive director of CCEDC, emphasized the role of leadership in driving this transformation.
“The board’s commitment to this rebrand, along with their engagement in county-wide initiatives, underscores their dedication to ensuring that Calhoun County thrives,” he said. “It’s an honor to work alongside such passionate leaders as we chart a path forward together.”
She added, “Our strategic goals include recruiting new businesses, further developing the Calhoun County Business Park at the intersection of Highways 4 and 20, and launching Leadership Calhoun, a new mentoring program for emerging leaders. The future of Calhoun County is bright, and we invite everyone to be part of our journey to ‘Grow Here.'”
