The prestigious award is handed out to one of the 2022 Employee of the Month recipients, as voted on by team members throughout the entire Fort Dodge region.

Greene was the March 2022 Employee of the Month, and was nominated for that recognition by Lisa Westering, specialty nurse at UnityPoint Clinic Surgery. Westering describes Greene as someone who is always willing to help team members and patients.

“Kristen treats all patients that arrive to our office with respect and empathy,” Westering said. “She is so good about calming their nerves and fears when they come to the office with a scary diagnosis. She will take the extra time to chat with them to try and get a smile and reassurance everything will be OK. She truly wears her heart on her sleeve and makes sure all patients are given the best care every time. She goes the extra mile to make sure the patient is completely taken care of and even takes on extra duties and phone calls to make sure the patient gets the proper care they need.”

Westering describes Greene as “the cheerleader in their office” — always making sure everyone has the best day at work.

Greene was named the Employee of the Year on March 8 during a celebration held at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.

“I am so honored to work with the best crew ever,” Greene said. “I have an amazing team. All of my providers are awesome, as well as everybody we talk to on a daily basis – in all the departments and all the regions. I am thankful for this place and my amazing team.”
