BRITT — Jared Wingert has continued to find ways to make his Mojo Productions company bigger and better by the day.

And Wingert, a St. Edmond High School graduate, has no plans on slowing down anytime soon.

The business provides not only DJ services for all events and venues, but has found new and exciting ways to branch out over the years. That includes hosting car shows and other events, including the ones they are producing themselves.

“When you say Mojo Productions, there is a DJ somewhere out there,” Wingert said. “We have put on full-fledge car shows in Britt now for five years, organized benefits for families and all that goes into that.

“It’s been really instrumental in helping a lot of different towns with car shows and other community events. When the phone rings, we like to answer it and do whatever we possibly can to help out.”

That includes a benefit held in Whittemore by the fire department that was used to offset costs for a member of the unit that needed a heart transplant.

“There were complications and we were able to raise over $200,000,” Wingert said. “They were supposed to have a wedding reception, but it turned into a benefit.

“Being able to do that and to give back to people who really need it, that’s what this is all about.”

Wingert, with his wife, Katie, started Mojo back in 1999. Today, they have a full office staff and do over 240 weddings a year and close to 500 events in all.

“We have such a good crew,” Wingert said. “It really comes down to a combination of things from having a good crew, amazing customers and believing in what we do. Repeat business is huge for us; we do one wedding and end up doing five because people know we care about what we do. We couldn’t be anything without our customers.

“I wake up every single morning knowing I have a lot to do, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. This is more than what I ever thought was possible.”
