Iowa Central to hold Career Festival

In recognition of National Workforce Development Month, IowaWORKS and Iowa Central Community College will be holding an Outdoor Career Festival, with Food Trucks on Friday September 23, from 11-2pm. The Career Festival will take place on the lawn directly south of the IowaWORKS center in Fort Dodge (Intersection of Ave O and Tower Drive), on the campus of Iowa Central, directly north of Casey’s.

This event will highlight and strengthen the workforce development of North Central Iowa by connecting employers and job seekers in a laid back, tailgate type of environment. We will feature over 20 prominent local employers, across varied industries, who are actively hiring for multiple positions. Each innovative employer is known for offering some of the most attractive benefits and diverse work cultures in the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to recruiters, ask questions, and learn more about these great employment opportunities.

While the Festival’s primary focus is to connect job seekers and employers, everyone is welcome to come enjoy the onsite food trucks and learn more about our participating businesses. We urge you to join us for some great food and fellowship, as we celebrate National Workforce Development Month.
