• Kara Gernhart joined the admissions team as the admissions activities coordinator.

Gernhart is a Fort Dodge Senior High graduate.

She attended Graceland University and graduated with a degree in elementary education.

• Jessica Butterfield Bailey was hired as an instructor in the communications department.

Bailey is a native of Elma. She graduated from Crestwood High School.

Bailey holds a bachelor’s degree in German and International studies from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in applied linguistics and teaching English as a second language from Iowa State University.

• Yahne Wu (Holly) has joined the team as computer systems analyst.

Wu is from Guangzhou, China. She has a Master of Science in management information systems from the University of Nebraska in Omaha.

• Tommy Thompson has joined the team as a TRIO Student Support Services program tutor/education specialist.

Thompson is from Fort Dodge and is a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High.

He holds an Associate of Arts from Iowa Central, a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Missouri, and a Master of Science in education from Northwest Missouri State University.

• Veronica Thor has joined the staff as the International Student Services coordinator

Thor is a native of Chicago. She is a graduate of Argo Community High School.

Thor holds an Associate of Science from Moraine Valley Community College, a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Arts in higher education administration from Sam Houston State University.

• Brian Smith has joined the housing team as the housing manager.

Smith is from Gilmore City. He is a graduate of Twin River Valley. Smith holds an Associate of Science in criminal justice from Iowa Central.

• Jennifer Ganeff has joined the Iowa Central team as a Financial Aid Coordinator.

Ganeff is from Gowrie. She is a graduate of Prairie Valley High School. Ganeff holds an Associate of Arts from Iowa Central and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Iowa State University.

• Matt Lombard joined the Iowa Central staff as a transportation technology field trainer at the Iowa Central Transportation Technology Center.

Lombard is from Fort Dodge. He is a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High.

• Casey Iles joined the Iowa Central staff as a technology specialist and adjunct instructor.

Iles is from Dayton. She holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in computer networking technology from Iowa Central.
