Jack EtzeL, of Fort Dodge, saw a picture of himself in Best Years on Sept. 8, 2011, then looked up Deb and Howard Zimmerle, who found the photo in a linen closet in their home. Etzel has no idea why the photo was in that house, but said it brought up a lot of memories. When he was 10, he developed a rare bone disease that kept him bedridden for more than three years. During that time, his mother got him a radio and had him listen to the World Series. That gave him an interest in sports.
