Retired dentist Mark Durst, left, and his daughter Thalya Hanson work on getting his 10-foot-by-16-foot Lionel O scale layout up and running at the Lake View Historical Museum. The layout debuted at the museum in September 2010. Durst spent a lifetime working on his railroad, which began with a train set on Christmas Eve in 1926.
