The day’s 80-degree temperatures made a perfect day for youngsters to play in the splash pad at Oleson Park in Fort Dodge. From left, Trinity Bolden, then 5; Jacob Schultz, then 7; and Nicholas Bolden, then 6, let the water run over them. Trinity and Nicholas are the children of Sandy Herman, of Des Moines, and Nick Bolden, Lake City. They were staying with their grandmother, Debby Ausborn, of Fort Dodge, for several weeks that summer. Schultz, the son of Stacey and Robert Schultz, of Fort Dodge, got to play at the splash pad about three times a week, weather permitting.
