Hand quilting is close work, especially when a lot of women show up for the job. Members of Dorcas Circle of St. Paul Lutheran Church spend one day a week quilting in the basement of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, the group’s home since fire destroyed the historic St. Paul Lutheran Church in May 1999. From left, quilters are Helen Hall, Dorothy Struve, Nancy Griffel and Velma Ramus, who had just celebrated her 90th birthday. The group held a 12-hour marathon quilting session to make up for several days they had missed due to bad winter weather.

Starting at $2.99/week.
