Renee Dietrich’s book of photographs of Haiti, “Behind the Mountains,” is the result of her many years of interest in the country. In 2009, she was part of the volunteer staff of the St. Joseph Family working on communication and development work in the impoverished island nation. Dietrich is a former Messenger photographer.
