Architect Dale Tremain, of St. Paul, Minn., talks to Mike, a 1-ton Belgian owned by Merrills Petzenhauser, of Lake City, before a gathering at Friendship Haven to show off Stone Bridge, the complex’s newest housing development. The horse-drawn wagon carried visitors to the 22-acre wooded site where town homes were going to be built. Tremain said it’s every architect’s dream to work on a project that is so unique and beautiful. The horse at right, almost an exact match for Mike, is owned by Roby’s Belgians, of Rockwell City. Owner Bob Roby stands close.
