Marty Pringle, left, poses with the V-8 Ford Flathead powered vintage race car he built for Pete Heesch, pictured here in the driver’s seat. The car is a replica of the one Heesch drove in 1955-’58, which he believes was the first in the area to be sponsored by Pepsi. His nickname when he was racing was “Pepsi Pete.” The car work was done by Pringle and Randy Hoover, Nancy Pringle painted the lettering and logos.
