Trumpeter swans hang out on the water at the Moorland Swan Pond near the intersection of Business 20 and U.S. Highway 20 east of Moorland. They were reintroduced to Webster County in 1997 after an absence of more than 100 years. Twelve years later (2009), trumpeter swans continued to thrive at the pond.
