Webster County jailer John Reedy, left, Fort Dodge police officer Joel Lizer, center, and Webster County jailer Steve “Wally” Elifrits, right, arrest Ty Johnson, center after a brief foot chase in downtown Fort Dodge on Ninth Street between Central Avenue and First Avenue South. Johnson had just been sentenced in Associate District Court to two years in prison for attempted third-degree burglary. After his flight and brief chase, he was charged with escape, a serious misdemeanor, and could face another year in prison.
