Local Northwest Federal Savings bankers, from left, John Taets, Brian Erickson and Jeff Wolf are among more than 200 Iowa bankers who were building a home in a week as part of “A Capitol Idea,” a partnership among 34 banks, the Iowa Bankers Association and the Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity. The house was being built on the Capitol grounds in Des Moines and was later moved to its permanent location on the city’s east side.
