Nicole Martin, a seventh-grader at Storm Lake Middle School, was discussing with her partner, Jordan Van Der Sloot, how they should complete their process paper during the National History Day District Event, sponsored by the Area Education Agency at Iowa Central Community College. Martin and Van Der Sloot’s project, “Showing the Truth, Photographs of the Holocaust,” qualified for the state finals in the Junior Group Exhibit Division.
